Nereus at PICES conference in Brazil

The Nereus Program was well-represented at the Third International Symposium on the Effects of Climate Change on the World’s Oceans hosted by the North Pacific Marine Science Organization (PICES) from March 23 to 27 in Santos City, Brazil. Both Rebecca Asch, Nereus Senior Research Fellow at Princeton University’s Program in Atmospheric and Ocean Sciences, and William Cheung,  Co-Director of the Nereus Program and Associate Professor at the UBC Fisheries Centre, gave presentations on their innovative research. Asch focused on how climate change impacts seasonal patterns in the ocean, while Cheung looked at global fishery governance and adaptation to climate change.
