Rebecca Asch wins award at PICES conference in Brazil

Rebecca Asch, Nereus Senior Research Fellow at Princeton University’s Program in Atmospheric and Ocean Sciences, has won a prestigious award for her research on the impacts of climate change on seasonal patterns in the ocean. Asch was invited to present at the Third International Symposium on the Effects of Climate Change on the World’s Oceans hosted by the North Pacific Marine Science Organization (PICES) from March 23 to 27 in Santos City, Brazil. Her talk, “Projected mismatches between the phenology of phytoplankton blooms and fish spawning based on the GFDL Earth System Model (ESM2M),” won the award for best early career presentation.
