COP23 Press Conference: What climate change means for global fisheries catches and human populations that rely on them

On Wednesday, November 8, a press conference at COP23 will present Nereus Program research.

COP28:
At the 2017 UN Climate Change Conference (COP23), nations will convene to discuss and advance the aims and ambitions of the Paris Agreement and increase progress on its implementation guidelines. COP23 will take place from November 6 to 17 in Bonn, Germany at the World Conference Center Bonn.

Press Conference:
From 10:30am to 11:00am in the Press Conference Room 2, a Press Conference on “What climate change means for global fisheries catches and human populations that rely on them” will present Nereus Program research. Organized by Scripps Institution of Oceanography (the University of California), the Conference will feature research on ecotourism, climate change and reef fish consumption in Palau from Nereus Research Associate Colette Wabnitz (UBC), Program Manager Andrés Cisneros-Montemayor (UBC), Principal Investigator Quentin Hanich (University of Wollongong), and Director of Policy Yoshitaka Ota (University of Washington). The Conference will also feature the work of Nereus Alumnus Mathieu Colléter, who contributed information.
